The Benefits of Handstands

Whether you are doing freestanding handstands or handstands against the wall, the benefits of these inversions are well-known. For the past year, I’ve been doing handstands for a few minutes each morning and I’ve seen my upper body and core strength increase dramatically. Obviously, this inversion should be done only if you are physically well and capable of doing so.  Aside from the physical benefits of this pose, such as an increase in strength and an improvement in balance, due to the working of your core muscles, doing handstands also provide mental benefits. It is believed that the flow of blood to the head can have an energizing and calming effect.
